Why it's good. Huge grassy areas, shaded picnic spots, interactive play features, biking paths and a beautiful lake - pack lunch and spend a few hours. The library is right next door for an easy weekday outing.

Know before you go. Playground isn't fenced and there isn't much shade. The park is spread out and has a lake, so it's harder with multiple little kids or adventurous toddlers.
